How I Approach Therapy:

Do you feel emotionally exhausted or overwhelmed from constantly managing, helping, or over-functioning in so many areas of your life? Have you realized that your relationships feel disconnected and stuck in painful and self-defeating cycles that feel impossible to break?

If this sounds familiar, I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m Jordan, a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist based in Arizona. I work with individuals and couples navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, emotional burnout, and the pressure of trying to keep it together.

Many of the people I work with are used to being the strong ones. They’re thoughtful, capable, self-aware, and often the person everyone else relies on. But internally, they feel disconnected, lonely, isolated, or misunderstood. They may find themselves working too hard in relationships, overthinking interactions, questioning their needs, or carrying an invisible emotional load that has slowly become unsustainable.

Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), EMDR, attachment-based therapy, family systems therapy, and parts work, I help people better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, and build foundations rooted in love and connection. Together, we work to identify the patterns underneath conflict, learn new ways to communicate, strengthen emotional safety, and create fulfilling and authentic relationships.

My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I bring warmth, honesty, humor, and depth to the work. I have a systemic perspective and believe that our families, relationships, cultural messaging, and societal systems deeply shape how we view ourselves and learn to cope, connect, and navigate the world. I don’t shy away from honest conversations about the impact of gender roles, race, emotional labor, patriarchal norms, power dynamics, and societal expectations.

Therapy with me is not about “fixing” anyone. It’s about understanding the patterns that developed for very real reasons while creating space for something different moving forward.

I help individuals who may experience:

  • Depression and suicidal ideation

  • High-functioning anxiety and perfectionism

  • Feelings of inadequacy and wondering “will I ever be good enough?”

  • Lasting impact of emotionally unavailable or emotionally immature parents

  • Unresolved family of origin concerns

  • Distress around establishing and maintaining boundaries

  • Difficulty navigating life transitions or current phase of life

  • Lack of self-worth, loss of identity

  • Loneliness or isolation, feelings of disconnection

  • Emotional burnout and overwhelm

  • Substance use or addiction and codependency

  • Ambivalence in their relationship and deciding whether to stay or go

  • Complex trauma

I help couples who:

  • Feel stuck in the same cycle of cycle of conflict or miscommunication

  • Lack a sense of emotional safety and security

  • Are in the middle of a challenging transition or new phase of life

  • Struggle to navigate relationships with extended family or in-laws

  • Are unsure if they want to stay in the relationship and want to explore divorce or separation

  • Fight about life stressors, raising children, role expectations, and household labor

  • Breached trust due to an affair or other infidelities.

  • Unable to effectively resolve and repair relational injuries

  • Are recently engaged and want to address premarital counseling topics

  • Want to proactively strengthen their relationship and attachment bonds

A Little About Me:

Like a true millennial eldest daughter, my childhood career aspirations involved Hollywood stardom or becoming the first female President. While my origin story is a bit different from where I ended up, one thing remains - a strong sense of purpose to make lasting, impactful change in people’s lives and in society.

I’ve grown to realize that change doesn’t have to happen on a grand scale to be meaningful; in fact, the most meaningful change I can make, is by touching the life of one person.

I strongly believe in the transformative power of therapy and the therapeutic relationship. I have experienced this in my own life, on the other side of the room as the client.

When I’m not in the therapy room, you can find me buried in books – yes, audio books count – with my sweet dog, Maslow, glued to my side, or planning my next grand adventure to a beach.
