Therapy for the Family in Phoenix
“The whole is greater than the sum of its parts” -Aristotle
Healing the System, not the Symptoms
Families are living systems—interconnected, ever-evolving, and deeply influential. When one member struggles, the ripple effects are felt by everyone. That’s why family therapy isn’t about blaming or fixing one person—it’s about understanding the patterns, roles, and dynamics that shape how a family functions and how each member feels and relates.
Therapists trained in systems theory view challenges in context, recognizing that symptoms (like anxiety, conflict, or withdrawal) often emerge in response to larger relational dynamics. Through a systems lens, we work to create healthier communication, repair emotional ruptures, and restore a sense of safety and connection across the entire family.
Whether you’re navigating parenting struggles, parent-child conflict, change in development such as adolescence, generational trauma, major transitions, or just feeling stuck as a family, therapy can help your system move toward healing—with curiosity, collaboration, and compassion.
As Marriage and Family Therapists we are relationship experts and uniquely trained to work with multiple members of a system.

The Benefits of Family Therapy
Family therapy helps you move beyond conflict and disconnection to create deeper understanding and stronger relationships. By exploring patterns, improving communication, and addressing emotional wounds, families can begin to heal together—not just as individuals, but as a connected system. Family therapy is often beneficial as a supplement to individual or couples therapy.
What to expect from your session
We will meet for an assessment to establish your presenting concerns and how we can help. It is beneficial to meet weekly but frequency can vary depending on your needs. Therapy can be short term or long term depending on your specific goals and the level of support that is needed.
For families we recommend a minimum of 80 minute sessions. We will often meet with dyads (groups of 2) or individuals within the family as part of the assessment.
